| Post subject: | My Wish List |
Having discovered LOST only a short time ago, I have to say this forum has been a WEALTH of information to me. As a long time 'wheeler, and first time Liberty owner, I can't tell you how crazy I was making myself trying to find just the right "accessories" for my new toy. Well sir..... I believe I have the (initial) wish list finalized, so here goes..... 1) Slightly more aggressive tires. I went with Firestone Destination AT 235/70/16 on stock rims for now. This will very likely change after..... 2) JBA 2.5 inch lift with upper A arms. It's a little more money, but I'm very impressed by the engineering, and I only want to do it once. Tires will probably end up 31 X 10.50 X 16 afterward, but we'll see. 3) Rock Lizard Gecko Sport Rack. ..... OR maybe the Gecko Basket Rack...... either way.... Replaces the cheesy plastic roof rails, and gives me someplace to mount the requisite overhead lights. Haven't decided on the lights yet, but will likely stick with tried & true KC Daylighters. I really wish I could still get Cepek C8000. Most awesome light I ever had. 4) ARB front bumper Just keep comin' back to it no matter what else I look at. And it gives me someplace to mount some "driving" lights <G> 5) Komodo Dragon rear bumper Matches up with the ARB in front rather nicely if I do say so myself. 6) Cobra 148GTL (peaked, tweaked, & freq'ed) & Garmin GPS For those areas where Cell Phones just don't work........ I always seem to be able to find those. Optional accessories that will almost certainly find their way onto my Liberty: 7 ) Skink Super Sliders 8 ) Skid plates for gas tank, and else anything I feel is vulnerable. 9 ) Auxilliary Battery setup Had one on the old truck. Run all the auxilliary lights, etc. from 2nd battery, & have the ability to "jump start" myself if/when necessary. 10 ) There's bound to be more...... as we all know....it's never REALLY done. So how's that for starters??? (My wife will absolutely KILL ME if she ever reads this........) |

Sweet. My wish list is pretty similar. Not sure where an aux battery would fit, though. It would be cool if there was a roof rack that had "quick" release mechanism of some kind. I like the functionality, but I don't want to carry around the weight and extra drag commuting. If I could pop it on for a weekend trip it would be awesome. I'm fairly new here too. I haven't really had the Libberator out on any 4x4 type trails yet, so I'm still trying to decide how far to go with it. Good luck! |

Good list almost sounds like mine! I installed the RL Gecko roof rack couple of years ago and have pnly had it off one time to paint Not any real drag that some are thinking they may get from it |

I would move the skid plates to the top of your list, if you are going offroad. |

Nice list. I think our wives are on the same page. It's a shame it's not the same one we're on... |

Skids are higher priority than lift and if you're lifting 2.5", there's no need for any other arms than came with... drop those and you can get the lift and the skids. |
