I was out driving my 02 last night and the "4Lo Mode" light flicked on for maybe half a second. fast enough that I wasn't sure which light it was at first. It then did it about 4 more times in a 10 minute time frame. My question before I tear into things looking is this: Is the switch for that indicator on the transfer case shifter or on the transfer case itself. I'm hoping it's just a switch or something that has an issue. Yes, I was in 2wd at the time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

They'll do that every now and again, could have some ice/snow up in there, loose connection...
they'll even get stuck on, mine was for a couple of weeks then went off

The switch is in the transfer case and known to fail every now and then.
