Post subject:  Front Cradle Drop?

I have been searching for the past couple of hours & I cant find anyone who has dropped the front cradle to get the CVs back to a safe angle. I want to lift my jeep a couple more inches. I have read that anything over 4" is hazardous for the CVs. I have a tera flex 2" spacer lift that I want to install but I think on top of the OME lift that I already have it will be too much. Has anyone made spacers or blocks to drop the cradle down? How far can you drop the cradle 1", 2", 3"? Is there another way to safely run 4" to 5" of lift without dropping the cradle?

Here's what he has to offer you.........
Fabbing the stuff up to do it yourself isn't that hard.

Yes adding a Teraflex (junk) spacer lift on top of OME coils is asking for problems
There has been ones that tried it though with limited sucess
With the front diff we have, the gearing available there is really no use to go higher

You don't mention where you are currently. Measure from the middle of the wheel to bottom of the flare. You can safely run 23to 23.25 without many problems with CVs etc. Any higher then you get into other things as well. UCA contact with springs, etc

Your fine,no need for more lift.

Time to outfit with quality skids(and rock rails) and lockers.Lockers will take you to places that will amaze you and others after learing how to drive offroad.

With the amount of lift that I have now do you think that I can fit 265/70s on it? I have the pinch weld grinded down & the front of the flares cut off.

Not completely gone. Just grinded where someone had beat the hell out of it to get 245/75s to fit. It looked like crap so I cleaned it up a bit.

265-70s are about the same height as 245-75s so should have no problem if they fit. You may have problems with width though depending on wheels and backspacing. They may rub the sway bar when fully locked left or right

just read your sig, the wheels you have should be the same as Moabs so again maybe slight rubbing on the sway bar.
