Post subject:  ARB bumper in hot climates?

I am seriously considering an ARB front bumper for my 06KJ. I have not seen one other than in a few photos. Here in Panama it's often 90'F 90% humidity. Has anyone used them in a hot climate high traffic area? I see a small provision in the bumper for air intake at the bottom of the bumper. It appears to block (especially after lights) the air flow. It appears to be centered directly in front of the trans cooler and power steering cooler. Most of us don't have real temp gauges. I know everything can be re-located around the bumper but has it been neccesary on others? I don't have the time or motivation to fab a bumper and I like the look of the ARB Except fot the hidden winch. Yes I know they are designed in a pretty hot climate.

2. What winches have been fit to this bumper?

Thank you in advance.

They are built, used and tested in Australia
Yes its sort  warm there
You'll have no problems with cooling, once you see one in person you'll see its actually better than stock

It gets hot here in the summer too. I've never had a problem. There's a Warn M8000 bolted into my bumper.

1. As tom stated should have no problems in heat, as for extreme cold heres mine about 3 weeks ago in Eureka, MO when it was 3 degrees and wind chill of -14!!
2. Im running a Warn XD9000i and love it!

in 2009 we hit 68 100+ degree days - and yes I was running the AC and no overheating problems

the only time the temp gauge has gone above 1/2 - was climbing mountain passes in Colorado.

I am in Las Vegas, Nevada and wheel in the desert a lot and have never had any problems. I have had the bumper on for...2 years now...maybe 3.
As for the winch, I have a Warn M8000 but have also seen the SuperWinch and Mile Markers on without any problems. I am pretty sure you could get away with any winch on the market...if you go for the powerhouse Warn you would have to do some modifying though. :)

Just as a heads up I was wondering the same thing with the bumper but all has been good and it has saved my jeep on at least 2 occasions already :)
1-Carpet roll hit at about 70 mph, it fell off the truck in front of me, very interesting and about a 7 on the pucker scale.
2-a friendly driver wanted to back into my jeep at about 25 mph, no damage to me...he was not so lucky, lol.
It is truly worth the money and I would not think twice to get it again or on any other vehicle.

I did a home grown winch mount last winter and ran through the Vegas summer with no problems. :D I tucked everything into the grill to keep approach angle to a minimum.
