Ok so I've really wanted to get my jeep lifted for a while now... [roblem is they are expensive. I've been to rocky road outfitters before but this is the first time I've noticed thier 2 1/2" budget lift. Can anyone that has more knowledge than me tell me if its any good??? Andif its not is there anything around that prie range you could suggest for me? Thanks guys. |

Spend a day or so reading the various posts on lifts, no use reinventing the wheel lots of great information on here and you'll find that its never cheap to go cheap and to find someone besides RRO |

Need more info on what year KJ you have, how high you want to go, if you want a good ride and better handling or don't care and only want the look But basically going with a cheap spacer lift is a waste of time and money so 4 springs and 4 shocks are needed there you can go from 700-1500 or more and a few more items |

I have a 03 sport and honestly it's just for the bigger tires and clearance. |

But you still want a decent ride and handling right? Just do a full spring lift with good shocks all around right off the get go and be done Then you'll have the looks, great ride and no problems down the road |

Take a look at the daystar lifts, their aint nothing special but form the sounds of it you are kinda in the same position i was in, i got the 2.5in one for i think around 200 bucks which fit in my budget. ive had it on for 8 months now and the only thing i would have to say is it might be a little stiffer ride compared to what tom telling you with spring and shocks all the around, figured my wouldnt hurt, if your on a budget |

Again on the year he has the springs are 7-8 years old and worn out Daystar lift on them with worn out shocks is not good at all. Plus you should really replace all of the shocks , esp. the rear since you need longer. So 200 bucks for the Daystar, 4 new shocks 345, so now you're up to 545, for 662 you can buy 4 new shocks and 4 new springs Not sure where the savings come in Bure agahli ................................ |

Save up and get one of these OME shock and spring lifts all around. Im quite happy with it and envision a couple of smaller spacers and a bump stop or two will get my last inch out comfortably and safely. (Pretty much a franken lift at then end of the day?) Good luck. |

Ok guys! I'm taking all your advice However... I'm not. Buying a kit. They seem kinda overpriced... So for the shocks I'm really considering the ranchos RS5000 all around Are those quality shocks or do you recommend putting the extra 50 in for the next step Ranchos? It nearly doubles the price Now for the springs... please suggest some sites and types with prices. It would really help me out. I'm going to but the shocks soon and the springs next month then rig it... so help please? Are shocks and springs all I need for lift? |

It depends on how much you want. OME parts all around are shocks and springs only. Gets you 1.5 - 2 inches. If I were you I'd order 2.5 inch springs from Al with bumpstops, pick your longer rear shocks and do OME in the front with a little clevis and and a top plate lift. Or thats what I'm gonna do. ( All, correct me if Im crazy Sites? Jeep n by Al http://jeepinbyal.com/ All J Products "Franky" http://www.boulderbars.com/kjproducts.htm The kit I got, 50 bux more here tho. http://www.quadratec.com/showcases/old_man_emu_suspension/jeep_liberty.php |

OME 927s 948s gets you more than the 1.5 inches as posted above. It has been posted 1 million times before but In my book right now here is about the best ride, handling and lift listen carefully................. FRONT: OME 927s with F4-BE5-D916-H0 shocks and Teraflex bumpstops plus 3/8 inch clevis REAR ; OME 948s with F4-BE5-6458-H7 rear shocks one extra isolator on the top each side and 2 per side hockey pucks for bumpstops The above after alignment and settling in will have you about 22.50 from the flare to middle of the wheel approx. Several places have OME springs depending on where you live, shipping cost you know I would try Jeepinbyal or AllJs shockwarehouse has free shipping on the shocks all of the above can be had for about 700 about as cheap of a complete everything you need as you can get
