The Rancho spring overs come in two sizes pending on type. The RS99764 compressed is 7.625" and extended 12.125 for a total travel of 4.5 inches. The RSX 17505 and RS5764 compress to 9.75 and extend to 13.875 for a travel of 4.125. The 5764 is a new shoch, according to the brochure. The point is does anybody know the collapsed length of the stock spring they are using. Iwas ordering a set Mondday but now I am confusee and have to ask more questions.
1. Without a spacer in the springover section would the shock be too long for spring?
2. Will the longer shocks with less travel and an 1.5+ longer extended length hurt the CV's by over extending and binding
them?
3. Which of these two sizes are at factory specifications?
4. Has anybody had trouble with either of these?
Thanks in advance.

I actually think the are identical in lenght and travel although the brochure indicates different. I called Rancho a while back and asked those questions. They are measured from different spots. That is how the get different lenghts. And for the different travel one, they measured the lenght one way compressed and another way extended. I know not very consistant, but that is what the rancho rep told me. He was a little confused at first, but did some investigating and that is what he came up with. He got up some sort engineering notes on how each one of the measurements was taken.
BTW, the frankenlift uses the RSX's without a problem.
