Would the Trac-Lok system be considered a locker? I'm trying to fully understand the system. The salesman told me that I have a rear locker(Trac-Lok) but i'm not sure if this is truely a locker. When I think of a locker i'm thinking of a system like the rubicon's have with the axle locking with the touch of a button, and I beleive the Tru-Lok system has to have a wheel spinning before power is given to both wheels. Am I even close to understanding the system? |

Not a locker, just a limited slip. Should of ask him how it works and watched his face drop. Umm, Hmm, yea it just does! |

I live in Arizona and my KJ gets heavy use. I actually wore the ferrous clutches out on my factory Trac-Loc. I replaced them with a Powertrax No-slip. This is a locking differential that is locked in a straight line and releases the outside wheel on a turn. It works GREAT on and off-road! The guys in my club just can't believe how this Liberty will climb and crawl. It is also lifted 2.5 inches with 31 inch BFG All Terrain T/A's. |
