| Post subject: | APS torque converter questions |
I originally had this posted on the 4x2 section with no replies and few people actually read it so I am reposting here the search function doesn't seem to work like i think it should either. My tranny is slipping in reverse and my TC is starting to go out. I have a used low mile 42rle sitting in my basement to be installed with the help of other members here. Since I already hsvr thr tranny out I really have been debating/pondering on putting the APS torque converter in it. I use the jeep as a DD in the city and tow every once in a while( nothing heavy) I don't have a lead foot but would like better performance especially when passing. My question's are.... 1. What stall and torque multiplication are being used? 2. What positive or negative things do you have to say about it( besides the price) 3. Any change in gas mileage? 4. Has anyone did the B&G flash first with stock converter, then installed the APS?, If so what are your thoughts? Any input would be greatly appreciated, Thanks |
