I have decided to go with the NEW!! Frankenlift II BAJA Kit for GAS KJ from All J Products. I am going to be ordering it next week. Has anyone ever ordered from here? Since my 04 Renegade has 90k miles how much do you think this will raise my ride height? And this will make it ride smoother correct?

Thanks

Brett

You will like it. Four inches or so of lift, great ride. I drove a high speed dirt/sand track trail for 50 miles in Utah a few weeks ago and was really impressed how it handled the twist and turns and dry creek beds. Far as All J's go, great products and service.

Now comes the real question. What is the biggest size tire I can fit with the Frankenlift 2 with no cutting/rubbing? Remember my KJ is mostly for on road driving.

Is that due to height or width?

Could you go with a 235/85r16?

Just put the Baja in on my '04 KJ, very impressed thus far.

Hoping it'll hold up for a LONG time (dont want to do that job again anytime soon)

You could but you'll lose a bunch of power and mileage
overdrive will be off most of the time and it will run hotter
been there done that before I regeared

245-75 or 265-70s almost the size height

Would 265-70s require any trimming?

Should I install the Frankenlift on Wednesday before I make the trek down to New Orleans on Friday next week? Or is this a bad idea? 1400 miles round trip

Back in 05 when I did the first lift on mine, I installed it on a Friday morning, aligned Friday afternoon and headed for Orlando Saturday morning.
No problems at all
if done right

Would 265's require any sort of trimming or even a wider wheel?

265 what? 70s or 75?
Stock wheels and 265-70s will more than likely rub when fully turned and "may" rub on the UCA, also need to do the pinch weld as well and some bumper trimming
265-75s lots of cutting and no power

That 1" tire height change from 245/75/16 to 235/85/16 is magical. Things are perfect at 31" and the jeep is practically junk at 32"

Unless you have a 6spd...which makes the 32's frickin great!
