First what type of lift do you have and how many miles also no struts only 4 shocks OME or Bilstein is the only two choices we really have right now |

For the front I don't see the Bilsteins offered for a lifted Jeep.... The OME's look like they are all front or rear for 1.5 inches of lift... Which ones do I want? Do I go with OME's in the front and Billstens in the rear... Looking around on JeepnbyAL |

Only one available for KJs in the front, makes no difference if stock or lifted In the rear go with the ones for 2.5 inches or whatever of lift if OME then its the 132Ls so still curious what lift etc you have |

Bought the Jeep with the lift installed already. Was told was a 3 inch Rocky Road Lift but that the total lift was actually 3.5 inches. It sits on 265/75/16 Baja ATZ's front bumpers been cut. If that helps give better idea. Oh and it came with the JeepinbyAL's tubular extended length upper contorl arms. Have not yet installed them. Going to do at same time as struts. |

Spacer or full spring lift? If its a full spring you should have OME front shocks and springs on it, rears RRO cheats ya and gives you their own brand of springs and shocks If its a RRO spacer, well......they've been known to blow shocks if you don't run bumpstops etc so the reason for asking Kind of doubt its 3.5 unless its fairly new or extras have been added measure from center of wheel to bottom of flare if over 22.5 then you're right on the money |

Pretty sure it's spacers front and rear. Don't see a front spacer but it's probably tucked away. My rear shocks are for sure blown had them off and once compressed they don't move. If I'm doing all this. Is there a better way to go if what's on it now isn't so hot? Without breaking the bank? Just figure if I'll have a few hundred in shocks etc maybe a new kits better?? It'll see off road but for most part I drive it to and from work 60 miles round trip 5 days a week. |

If it is a spacer lift then they are hard on shocks. You can add bumpstops but it only prolongs the time to replace with a full spring lift You should be able to see the spacer on top if thats what it is, in the rear of course would be easy to see. As far as ride goes even on the street, its 100 times better with full spring than spacers |

As far as ride goes even on the street, its 100 times better with full spring than spacers So I measured from center of wheel to bottom of flare I'm at like 22. From ground to bottom of flare I'm at 36.5. Looked closer at lift. Think what is on it now it the budget lift. Shocks and struts apper to be factory of they are white from factory. Debating about going with the RockFather 2 lift kit. So that will have full springs and new shocks and struts. Since would have around 500ish wrapped up just in shocks and struts. And pretty much will have it all apart to change them anyway. Would I maintain same ride height I have now? I assume I'll notice a substantial increase in ride quality. Would I gain any off road ability? If I do this I want to only do it once the right way. I'd love to go with the 4-4.5 kit but that's big money. And for what I use my Jeep for I don't think I really need that much. Plus the womans happy she doesn't have to jump to high to get in it. Lol |

personally I would not go RockFather or any RRO as I said they use part OME part their own junk Look at springs from jeepinbyal or boulderbars.com and shocks from shock warehouse if you want to save some. JBA has the Teraflex bumpstops as well for the front 22 inches is 2.5 to 3 inches of lift if you want to stay at that height I can give you what all you need to obtain that |

Will attempt to field this one for tommudd, so he can rest his fingers.... RockFather II uses OME parts up front, but self branded (RE: CHEAP!!) shocks & springs out back. Do a little research on this site & others, and you'll find that Rocky Road Outfitters has a bit of a "questionable" reputation, especially when it comes to customer service. If you're looking at "kits".... you're better off going with a Frankenlift II (Boulderbars.com). Only a few bucks more than the RockFather II, and you get OME shocks & springs on all four corners. AND, from what I've read, the RRO kit is a bugger to install, especially if you're using their replacement upper A arms. OR.... you can look into the "kit" for Jeepin' By Al (jeepinbyal.com). It's a little more money, but again quality Bilstein shocks on all four corners, and custom springs. All three kits will yield a total a total "advertised" lift of 2 1/2 inches, but actually lift over stock will be closer to 3 - 3 1/2 inches. Do a little more research about the "kits"....... you'll be happy you did. I was originally considering the Rockfather II...... but it's no longer an option because of the things I've read here. Hope that helps...... |

Thanks guys very helpful! Tommudd sent you an email. Those FrankenLifts are pretty sweet sounding. Looking at the customer rigs helps get idea for it too. On JeepinByAl the only lift I was seeing as a kit struts it's a 1.5 inch lift with the OME shocks and struts... |
