added a few more lights to my KJ (hella 700FF 100w each) and i also have the renegade lightbar on my sport.
I'm wondering how i'm doing with the stock 136amp alternator and all that lighting, my calcuations come out to the following
136 Amp output in theory: 2x high beams (65w each) 10.83 2x 700FFs (100w each) 16.6 2x Fog Lights (45w each) 7.5 4x roof lights (55w each) 18.333 Thats 53.26 amps in lighting if I light EVERYTHING up
That leaves 76.74 amps for everything else, and thats where my concern lie.
W/o the fogs, i gain 7.5 amps (which would be true if i had my high beams on, so that leaves 84.24 amps for everything else.
I have a recent vintage Odyssey P4 (die hard re-label) at 880cca which *seems* to handle the load without dimming, but id rather not take any chances.
If i was to upgrade to the 160amp alternator, I'd have 108.24 amps to work with while everything is going. Is this worth it?
