I slapped these on while at the office waiting out a storm. I noticed I had to hammer and tap them on as they didnt want to slide all the way on easy.
I also noticed they dont sit all the way flush with the bottom. Did I do something wrong? Will the weight of the Jeep on the spring seat them?

Pressure of the spring compressed will flatten them right out.

ok well i am still having an issue and getting comflicting info from users as to whether or not I have to have the Daystar top plate. I currently do not have it. I am hearing from some mechanics that without it they will not be able to compress the OEM spring enough to fit the OEM plate with the Daystar 2.5 spacer under it.

help?!?!

If you don't have the top plates i would just scrap the spacer idea all together. The oem springs will probably compress into the stock top plates, but the ride is going to be horrible. Also with the springs under all that extra stress, they are going to sag way faster and you'll be doing another lift in 6 months tops. Its your Jeep, but i would just put ome springs in it and be done.

You do have to have Daystar top plates to use the Daystar spacers. Too much compression with OEM top plates. The Daystar top plates in effect, lengthen the shock shaft to account for the spacer.

that makes sense to what I originally thought.

OME springs work fine with OEM plates?

what front springs be good to match with the rear 2.5" daystar spacer?

OME 927, but not in combo with spacers. Just new front springs and rear spacers.

yea. I was thinking new front springs with my stock plates and my KYB's up front. then run the daystar spacer in the rear.

whats a good place to get these 927? edit - the 927 state 1.5" lift....how is that gonna work with 2.5" rear daystar?

You get more than 1.5 inches of lift
plus you can add even more lift if you want real easy

927 are heavy springs. to be used with bumper, bar, or winch.

this jeep will have none. so why not 926?!

Post subject:  Re: daystar spacer seating

926 are a bit softer ride, but most go with 927 anyway. They give a little more height and are not a rough ride. I have 927 on my 2wd with no heavy bumper or winch and it rides great. If you are concerned and want a softer more spongy ride, go ahead and get the 926 springs.

You need the top plates. I run the Daystar spacer lift, so I would know.
Go OME and you won't regret it.

I saw that too (the picture thread), but was watching the LSU v. Georgia SEC Championship Game; so I really didn't see where you said the OME lift won.
