I'm looking at getting a Frankenlift and was wondering if the UCA are a must have or will it be ok without. I've noticed some people have them and some do not. :? Will there be ball joint failure without them or spring contact????????

The UCA's aren't necessary, but are highly recommended.

Spring contact with the stock arms run about 50/50.... usually during cornering.
Ball joint wear, again depends on the use and/or abuse you put the suspension through.

Spending the money up front for JBA UCA's gives you greaseable ball joints,
and additional clearance for the coils, making contact nearly a non-issue.
Since you're gonna have the front end apart for the lift anyway,
why not replace the UCA's at the same time.
