So I noticed this weekend that I have a oil leak. I cant for the life of me figure out where its coming from. Let me paint you a picture.

When I open my hood there is oil on the edge of my driverside front of the hood. Oil running down the side of the radiator. Oil covering my driverside suspention.

Nothing on the engine or connecting parts.

I was looking around with a light and have not been able to find a source. For the life of me I cant think of where it is coming from. The dipstick shows clean oil and at normal levels.

Thoughts?

Could be the power steering cooler/radiator. Or some hose near. Can you identify what kind of oil it is?

My Money is on power steering line, I'm pretty sure almost every Liberty I have ever seen has PS hose issues.

Thats the strange part. It looks like motor oil. It does not look like power steering fluid.

Unless you have changed the PS fluid it will look like motor oil.KJ's can from the factory with regular PS fluid for the '02-'03 model years.

Then at this point it could be one or the other. We will know tomorrow.

Well with the PS lines running all on the drivers side, along with the PS pump, it's most likely the PS.Check the PS fluid level,if it's under the cold min mark that's your leak.

Good News!
I found the leak!
There is a hairline crack at the top drivers side corner of my radiator.
The same area where the girl hit me afew months ago. Hope insurance will cover this.

Any Radiators out there that cool better?

When something breaks, Upgrade!
