Christmas bonus is here, and looks like I'll be ordering the Rusty's 2.5" coil lift. I know its not the best but I'm trying to limit what I spend. It's mostly a daily driver, but I'm hoping to get offroad again soon. So with this lift, it seems to come with most everything I would need, but are there any suggestions as to what else could be added on. I've seen some posts about clevis addons and other things to give it a little more height or leveling for the front. How much would a really get out of these? And, is there anything that would be necessary for this lift that isn't mentioned from Rusty's website? Like, brake line extensions, new front shocks (which I'll probably get anyway), etc. Yes I know going with a franky or OME setup would probably be better but I'm only wanting to try and use a small portion of the bonus. Still gotta get the wife something nice for christmas. Thanks |

Hate to say it but Rustys is throwing your money away, spring rates are low, rear shocks are junk, not worth it in the long run. Out of 21 lifts installed here at my place 20 were OME springs and one Rustys, The Rustys one started at 22.5 inches and within 2 years was at 19.50 almost back to stock. This was not the guys daily driver either, rear shocks blew after about 11 months, front ones and springs were gone after less than two years with less than 20,000 miles and one off roading trip. It never did ride as good as any of the other ones as well. Yes its cheap at 420 bucks right now on sale but ..................... its yours and if you want to go that route Good luck With that you still will need front Teraflex bumpstops rear hockey pucks 2 per side for bump stops since you don't post what year you drive unknown if you need brake line extension in the rear You can add 3/4 of an inch with a 3/8 inch clevis lift and 1/2 inch with a 1/4 inch thick top plate, rear you can add extra upper isolators up to two per side Save your money for a couple of months and do it right IMO |
