I searched but did not find any info on this setup. Only on Bilstein shocks on their own.
I want to do a 2" Bilstein/BDS lift.

BDS coils I know gives a Lifetime warranty
http://bds-suspension.com/product?ma=7& ... =2002-2007

Bilstein shocks I'm not really familiar with other than I know they get used in German Touring Cars often.

Anyone have any information fo me on Bilstein shocks and BDS coils?
Pricewise I can get this setup for A LOT less then OME.

I have bilsteins in the front with OME springs. I feel like they may be a little hard on the compression and too soft on the rebound. Additionally, the bilsteins for the rear don't have the proper mounting eyelet. See topic here .

If you do the math:

OME Lift
Front
Shocks - OME NS131 - 2 @ 157
Springs - OME 790 - Pair @ 160
Bumpstops - Teraflex - 2 @ 22
Rear
Shocks – OME 131 L - 2 @ $85
Springs – OME 948 - Pair @ $157
Bumpstops - Hockey pucks - 10

$855

BDS w/ OME front
Kit - 475
Front
OME shocks - 2 @ 157
Bumpstops - Teraflex - 2 @ 22
Rear
Bumpstops - Hockey pucks - 10

$843

BDS w/ Bilsteins front
Kit - 475
Front
Bilsteins shocks - 2 @ 90
Bumpstops - Teraflex - 2 @ 22
Rear
Bumpstops - Hockey pucks - 10

$709

-So a premium lift with components specifically made for your vehicle is $855
-BDS with OME front shocks only saves you $12. so that's a no brainer
-A lift with no reviews, no specs on the rear shocks included, and shocks that were built for a wide range of Dodge trucks (i cant compare them to OME fronts because i have never rode on them, but i gave my opinion above) will run you $710

Is the $140 gamble worth it to be the one who writes the first review on a BDS/Bilstein lift on this forum? Or do you want to spend the $140 extra and get what everyone has tried.

I am not saying one is better than the other. There are plenty of options out there and the only way for us to know their quality is by forum members installing them.

Thanks for the heads up. It seems the Bilstein shock is out then.

Sorry for not clarifying I'm not for the USA so the price difference is not that marginal for the OME vs the Bilstein options. OME is quite a bit more expensive.
However,I do not like what I see in that thread you posted about the Bilstein shock.

Another option could be a full EFS lift. EFS coils and shocks. Anyone have any info on these?

If all else fails OME is the best way of going then albeit quite a bit more expensive.

The real problem is:

Other then OME, most springs are crap and start to sag fast. Do you have a V6 or a CRD?

If it's a diesel....you have no choice....

I use Bilsteins in the rear of my KJ.

Got them from Jeepinbyal.com.

Needed only add a couple of washers at the upper shock mount to fill the slight gap,
as the shock is slightly narrower than stock.

The performance of the shocks has been first rate.

I have the 3.7.
I'm wondering what Bilstein shock that is.
The ones I was looking at is the Bilstein HD.
Part number:
Front: F4-BE5-D916-H0
Rear: BE5-6458

Another option that I might have is the BDS coil with KONI adjustable shocks. More expensive than EFS and Bilstein but less so than OME. I really like BDS coils so thats the reason I am looking hard for more options than just going with the more expensive OME.

Hello, I have a 2007 KJ with a 2" 4wd Hardware Lift (which I was told is exactly the same as the BDS Lift, only it was cheaper for me). The kit came with rear shocks which are decent, but I opted for the Bilsteins up front. You will still need the JBA upper arms, at least I did, with this kit because of contact issues with the springs, but the ride quality improvement over the stock setup is AMAZING! After installing this lift, I don't know what the hell Jeep was thinking when they engineered this suspension setup!! I did use two washers over the clevis to level it out a little, and overall (including the stock sag to 17") I gained almost 4 inches of lift, as it's advertised as 2" above factory. It's been a little over a year now with no sag whatsoever and my wife drives it daily! Go with the Bilsteins dude, you won't regret it!

So you got 2 inches of lift total
even with the 1/4 inch extra clevis
