I have bilsteins in the front with OME springs. I feel like they may be a little hard on the compression and too soft on the rebound. Additionally, the bilsteins for the rear don't have the proper mounting eyelet.
See topic here .
If you do the math:
OME Lift
Front
Shocks - OME NS131 - 2 @ 157
Springs - OME 790 - Pair @ 160
Bumpstops - Teraflex - 2 @ 22
Rear
Shocks – OME 131 L - 2 @ $85
Springs – OME 948 - Pair @ $157
Bumpstops - Hockey pucks - 10
$855
BDS w/ OME front
Kit - 475
Front
OME shocks - 2 @ 157
Bumpstops - Teraflex - 2 @ 22
Rear
Bumpstops - Hockey pucks - 10
$843
BDS w/ Bilsteins front
Kit - 475
Front
Bilsteins shocks - 2 @ 90
Bumpstops - Teraflex - 2 @ 22
Rear
Bumpstops - Hockey pucks - 10
$709
-So a premium lift with components specifically made for your vehicle is $855
-BDS with OME front shocks only saves you $12. so that's a no brainer
-A lift with no reviews, no specs on the rear shocks included, and shocks that were built for a wide range of Dodge trucks (i cant compare them to OME fronts because i have never rode on them, but i gave my opinion above) will run you $710
Is the $140 gamble worth it to be the one who writes the first review on a BDS/Bilstein lift on this forum? Or do you want to spend the $140 extra and get what everyone has tried.
I am not saying one is better than the other. There are plenty of options out there and the only way for us to know their quality is by forum members installing them.
