Son took the 02 KJ into a dealer to have a tranny service and get a state inspection. Mechanic is telling him it won't pass inspection due to a faulty steering rack..long story short, it was quoted at $1000 to get it replaced...parts and labor. Anybody else ever have to replace one of these? Any feedback on this would be great. Don't feel like dropping a grand into his Jeep right now

You probably got a quote for a new rack,here I can get rebuilts with lifetime parts and labour warranty for about half the price of new. |
