The insructions for the spacer kit I have says to drop the lower control arm to install the spacer adove the strut. Will a strut compressor compress the strut the 3" in need ? or does the CA have to be droped for sure? If so are there any special instruction on droping it and reinstalling? Thanks in advance and many thanks for all the info I get from all of you.It helps alot Thanks again |

You must drop the Lca then take the strut out to compress it. |

Which kit? I did my Daystar and removed the struts by undoing the swaybar bolt, the upper ball joint, and removing the clevis. I never removed the LCAs. Of course, I DID get fancy with pry bar and spring compressors putting the longer strut back in the front. The trick is putting the lower clevis bolt back in. I used a spring compressor on the LCAs and clevis and tightened them to pull the eyelets into alignment, ran the bolt through, then tightened it all up. |
