Has anyone replaced theirs themselves? How hard is it? Dealer wants $1100 to do it, and pats are $580

On newmoparparts.com, I found the gear for $380, probably does not come with the bushings, and those are $50 at dealer.

Can I re-use the boots and tie rod ends from my old rack?

Not much time until Moab, and will be moving The end of this month plus there is the bumper mounting, so Time is at a premium.

Well, Just ordered the rack from New Mopar parts.com, and hopefully it will get here before I move. I will try to do a write up when I do the replacement. I will try to do it w/o removing the LCA's and w/o fully dropping the front akle, just that front mount. Either way, all said and done, I think it will cost me as much as the part alone from the dealer to get it done.
Any help will be awesome, I will be doing it on a Saturday at the auto hobby shop here on USAFA. Most likely first half of April... Depends on the bumper and move schedule.

What was wrong with it? I would think you would be able to re-use the tie rod ends+boots if you dont rip them trying to get them off and nothing is wrong with them. Im not to sure though, just guessing.
