My 2005 liberty with 3.7l wont start. There is power to the starter as far as I can tell. Accessories turn on, starter clicks repeatedly and sounds strong. Where do I go from here? I plan to check the fuses but beyond that Im at a bit of a loss.

So I tried to turn the motor manually to see if it was seized. It turned fine. Tried to start it afterwards and it started right up. Weird but good I guess. If the starter was starting to go could it have caused this? It was cranking and power seemed to be going everywhere. |

Your starter is going.... Get it fixed rebuilt or replaced new before it leaves you somewhere. I got one from the Dealer here in Canada for 129.99$ That was a super good deal tho. |

An update. I tested the voltage on the battery but it was good. Just to be sure I took it to autozone and had then test it properly. Bad battery. I gout it from walmart about a year ago and it was still way within the 3 year warranty so they tested it again(failed again) and replaced it for free. No issues since. |

Yep, a dead battery or weak battery will cause a no start. From your initial post, you made it sound like you had good juice. I'm glad to hear that you're back on the road without having to fork out money. |
