Has anyone run across this? It seems to be leaking right where the drive shaft goes in I am not sure if its a seal or not. between my upper and lower ball joints going bad and now this. you would think I wheel hard but I have seen some pics of others and what I do is nothing I am getting discouraged but I love wheeling with my family.

The front seal is known to leak, there have been a lot posts on the subject, and while your under the KJ look at the back, the rear seal is most likely leaking too.

its the rear pinion seal on the front diff. I took mine into the dealer and he said its a common thing but he checked the fluid and it looked good so he said to just leave it because the replacements do not hold up well... i will be having it checked again here in abit after we have used it through the winter.

I had my front pinion seal replaced and when they did it they found a groove on the yoke, New yoke, new pinion seal no probems so far and have wheeled hard three outings. They didn't even have to remove my skid plates to do the job! If your in warranty I suggest you get it done. Joe

My front pinion see went also. Just a couple of months after lifting and tires. The dealer fixed it under the 7/70 power train warrantee. So it only cost me $100.

I had to remove my skidrow tranny skid before they would do it. They would have removed it, but would have also charged me $78/hour labor. I said no thanks, I can take it off and bring it back.

My 4 skid plates are Mopar, maybe that's why they didn't have to remove them. Joe

Umm, mopar doesnt make an aftermarket skidrow, either you had 4 mopar skids, or 3 mopar skids and a skidrow? Which one is it?
