Where in GA? *EDIT* Try posting this on the GA lost site. Are you stationed in San Angelo? I was stationed at Goodfellow Air Force Base in 1967-68. At that time an interesting, but boring place. |

I was stationed at Goodfellow as a Military Intelligence Instructor... have since gotten out and became a Registered Nurse... It is a boring place, the only reason I am here is my daughter... |

We are happy to help with the install at this end depending on where GA you will be and for how long. Jhblackwell has a home garage with air-tools in Athens, GA. I have one near Atlanta, GA but with only hand tools. What lift are you looking to install? |

TexasRock wrote: I was stationed at Goodfellow as a Military Intelligence Instructor... ... Interesting. Sounds like not much has changed at ol' "goodbuddy". I was an Army instructor/Vietnamese linguist with the Army Security Agency in Voice Intercept Operations. Stationed there after a tour at Hue/Phu-bai, S. Vietnam as an intercept/translator. Good times. Of course I was single, white and 21 (literally). We've got to get together and share war stories. Like Colin said, let us know where you're headed in GA and we'll do our best to help with your lift, and whatever else you may want to do. John |

My dad lives in Kingsland, down by Florida border. The lift is OME springs, Bilstein shocks, top plates, clevis, hockey puck! |

Welcome to Georgia! It's a bit of a ride for me to help, but if you post on the Fla. site you may get better results. Good luck with the lift. John |

I was going to suggest you try and stop by if we do my lift in a few weeks, but then I checked and google maps reminded me you're 5.5 hours away... There are a few folks in that neck of the woods but the Atlanta/Athens is...a ways away. Dan |

Keith: John and Dan are correct. Most of us who regularly post on LOST are in the Metro-Atlanta/Athens or North Georgia areas. You are closer to folks in North Florida than you are to us. I would suggest posting on the Florida (Down Right) local LOST forum page and see if there is someone in the Jacksonville, FL area who can assist. You are almost 300 miles from where the rest of us are located, and with the LOST ECS (Oct 5-8) coming up we are all probably going to be busy working on other stuff from now until then. Good luck!!! |

No hits on the Florida forum. I don't mind making the drive up that way. dgeist said he's getting his done in the next few weeks so.... I could head up that way too. Keith |

Keith It kinda depends on what kind of lift you're trying to install, what everyone else's schedules look like (as I'll be humbly asking John and Colin for help myself once my Franky comes in) and if she who must be obeyed is willing to support me having a full-blown wrenching day in the driveway. Perhaps we can start with the easy questions: What kind of lift is it and how flexible is your schedule? Dan |

Umm see that is where the issue comes in usually people don't have a spring compressor laying around. Atleast not one easily capable of compressing the liberties springs. But other then that issue it should be a few hour job for one person. |

Cobolt-60 has a set of coil compressors that worked on the CRD coils I put on the front of mine and with a small, refundable, deposit you can get either strut or coil compressors from any auto parts store. It's just a matter of getting your ducks in a row and having everything you need when you start. Two lift installs in one day may be challenging, but do-able. |

You guys are making it harder than needed. Rental compressors ,....stay away have a shop compress them, do the rear while they are doing them. easy enough 2 lifts in a day, very do-able |

Yeah I acttually did that with my last lift I did took it to a buddy who didn't charge me a dime to compress and change them as long as they go there for a 50 dollar alignment. |
