Ive installed a Detroit Truetrac P/N 912A585 in a JBA steel front diff. My question is the half shaft and pass. stub shaft doesn't want to slide into the truetrac with retainer clips on. Has anyone run into this? Im assuming its ok to leave them off without problems ? Thanks for any info !! |

Must use those retainer clips or the CV will back out.May need a new retainer clip. |

tjkj2002 I was hoping you would answer. I cannot get the drivers half shaft started in the splines, I was thinking a fresh set of retainers might help. I pick up some tommarow, and try again, Thanks ! |

If you're not in a time crunch. Why doesn't Jim just order a new intermediate shaft. It's less than $100. Then you don't have to worry about it for a while. Peace of mind... Same reasoning for getting the JBA differential. Why skimp out now!?!? The same goes for the drivers side cv.... $50 dollar swap at napa... |
