Ok, I admit it. I have a 4x2, but I figured the 4x4 section would know a little more about lifts. I already have 235/70/16s and I dont want to go any bigger because of how many miles I drive. I do want to put a small spacer lift on it. I want to go about 1.5" or 2" but can only find 2.5" spacers. Where can I get some? Is it going to look stupid lifted with 235?

I put the rev tek 2 inch lift on mine and I had to drive it for a few days with 235s. It did not look too bad but there was an obvious gap...I ended up fitting 265-75s on.

A set of 255/70/16's would look sweet with a cheap dependable 2.125" RRO Combo lift (that doesn't eat struts and balljoints) and are only 30.1" which wouldn't affect mileage much.

I was wondering if spacers or actually replacing the shocks and other parts is better? Better meaning which one will last longer and not brake. I will not be putting a lift on my KJ for some time... bought warranty and only have 10K miles. But if I ever get in a wreck and have to replace stuff, and am getting the other side to hook me up... Thanks

Replacing the spring and struts is a much better option in the long run even if you don't plan to wheel it. Most people on here that have gone with spacer lifts have eventually replaced them with actual spring lifts. A 4x2 will never be as capable as a comparably built 4x4, but you can still have lots of fun with it. You will probably end up going to a bigger tire after lifting it.
