I have a 2002 Jeep liberty 4x4 3.7 v6 with an automatic tranny. It has about 90.000 miles and the tranny fluid and filter was changed in 2010 or 2011. When you put it in gear and take off right away it feels like the tranny slips for a sec. If you put it in gear and wait a sec it is fine. However while driving down the road it feels very sluggish. like the E-Brake is on but not quiet. maybe more like trying to drive across a deep river. Has anyone ever had this issue? The dome lights flicker on and off for no reason at all if that matters.
Thanks for your insight.

Change your transmission fluid an filters to stop the initial slippage. The other I have no idea about especially the flickering lights. That sounds like a loose connection with a door sensor maybe or a relay that is going bad.
