Considering I bought my Daystar lift online for $171.00 and installed it with help from one other guy in 4 hours flat....I'd say that quote is a rip-off.

I'll second that! $171 for my 2.0" Daystar kit (boulderbars.com now sells it for $170), and $290 for installation and alignment at probably the most expensive place in town. I went with them because they had 4x4 Liberty lift experience.

The 2.5" kit should cost about $50-80 more because of the front strut plate spacers, but still...

Pretty far out. If you mean the actual company "4wheelparts", darn right they will take your money. They are good folks, but they know how to make a buck.

If you get the spacers as cheap as you can, you can install the rear yourself, I'm sure. Order new struts for the front and have them put the spacers in for free when they install the struts. I haven't found a shop yet that won't do it.

If you decide to do the front yourself, I have instructions. I think you'll find the above to be the fastest, least labor intensive, & cost effective

They usually charge about $50 a strut install and another $50 for the line-ment.

Say it was $305 for the complete kit as listed on ALLJ. $250 for new struts, install, & alignment, you could even throw on new rear shocks and be below $650

If you order this part# KJ09117, The price would be even lower.

Here are the instructions for the rear:

(item#6 can be overcome very easy without a spring compressor)

Here is another link to lookup daystar stuff:

You might consider a coil spring lift too.

Hope it helps.
