Post subject:  quick and easy question... rear coil spacer +...

My rustys kit is sagin a bit... and with out the sway bar the coil falls out alot easier than before!! What dia is our rear coils, or what spacer should I be looking for? I know I cant go too much taller but I wrote down what my height was when I installed the lift, and it is almost an inch and a half shorter now.

and for the front, I dont want to take the strut apart again to add a coil spacer, I would rather just add the top plate spacer... what should I be looking for?

you can always add two additional spring rubbers to each side of the rear. this should get you an inch or so...

lol, already off topic! JK...

As for the "crank in spacers" I thought about them, but they are a bit cheezy and I have the aluminum ones in at one time (2 per spring) and a they fall out somethimes... Poly spacers for the rear are only $45 a pair or so. and I will start off at 2 inches and they can always be cut down if it vibraites the rear end.

as for my tail lights... I did them myself. I masked them off and tinted the, and clear coated over them. PM me and I will hook you up. You can go on ebay and find a pair of stock lights for $10 a piece, and if you ship them to me I will tint them for you and send them back for $50 (I will pay the shipping for the trip back to you)

are the bolts/studs on the top of the strut removable? My idea is this.. I could take 2 pieces of 1/4" flat bar cut out the shape I want the spacer to be and weld the seam around the 2 pieces... basically making a 1/2" piece os steel the sape of the spacer and drill right through... knock out the existing studs and get longer bolts to go threw the strut, the spacer and the body.

what do you think
