I got one of the first Ironman lifts when Marlin (JBA) received them to test out. I loved the ride right away, smoother ride than what I have in a way, handling is great, overall a great alternative to the OME setup. I ran the fronts for a while and the rear for quite a while longer checking them out. Due to the extra weight of mine I went back to my setup and yesterday we installed the Ironman lift on 501s KJ for even more long term testing / evaulation. Few shots of his, with top plate and 3 ring clevis in the front, 2 extra upper iso's in the rear He's only driven it about 25 miles so far around here last evening and today but loves the ride so far. He just left for home and will put another 170 miles on this afternoon. ![]() ![]() ![]() comparing to mine ![]() couple of the others who were at the M&G / Lift install ![]()

Tom, are you saying that the Ironman lift doesn't hold the extra weight of the ARB bumper as well the OME HD coils? |

dieselenthusiast wrote: tommudd wrote: No I didn't think I said that You said, "Due to the extra weight of mine I went back to my setup..." The Ironman won't lift the KJ as much as an OME - so add the weight of armor, ARB up front, etc. and it will not be at the same height as an OME spring setup. For example, the OME rear spring is about 2 inches taller than the Ironman when they're sitting on the garage floor. So the OME starts out that much higher in the rear though it compresses faster due to the linear spring rate. But still, the OME will be a tad higher to start with. Add in the above-mentioned items plus Tom's "garage-in-the-trunk" that he carries around all the time and those rear springs are compressed pretty quickly. If I remember correctly Tom had to run 3 rear upper iso's with the Ironman to get the height where it needed to be vs. 2 upper iso's with the OME springs. Nothing wrong at all with the Ironman - great setup as you can see on 501's rig. Bob |

Ironman will provide the same amount of lift Currently Daryl is sitting with a true 4 inches of lift in the front, ( middle of wheel to bottom of the flare) and this is after I ran the setup for a few hundred miles and now he has over 200 on them I should of included I swapped them out also due to getting it ready to go to the Butler Jeep Festival and several road trips coming up. Didn't have time to fully explore all of the options I could of done. Daryl now will though |

OME has the Medium Duty Springs, Heavy Duty Springs and the CRD springs. Three different spring rates for 3 different applications is what makes OME a good selection for those who need the flexibility. It would be interesting to see how the Ironman would handle an ARB bumper and winch after 10,000 miles of driving. |

my heavy duty OME springs have taken a beating with the ARB and xrc8...thinking about adding synthetic to the winch and adding the CRD coils... |

STINGN wrote: my heavy duty OME springs have taken a beating with the ARB and xrc8...thinking about adding synthetic to the winch and adding the CRD coils... I think that OME CRD coils are the best setup with the ARB/winch combo. And synthetic rope is the way to go. |

BEST would be a front coil with about 450-460 spring rate for those with ARB/winch etc 400 is not quite enough over the long run, 500 is a little bit too much but thats just from my experience |

With around 1000 miles on the new lift, I'm sitting at: FD = 22 3/4" FP = 23" RD = 21 3/4" RP = 22" |

If so unless price has changed in the past few days four springs / shocks are 650 or so of course add in top plate/ extra isos/ bumpstops if you want more lift, etc and you add in another 100 easy enough Marlin has everything on his site. he even has a new site coming up soon thats easier to search for parts |

I noticed that the coils are bunched real tight. Do you hear clanging of the springs up front? |
