First off I want to thank everyone on this forum for all of the great info this site has provided me. I don't post often but I couldn't find this issue in a search. Okay I will try to give as much info as I can here. I just put in new JBA A Arms then took it into the shop to have them install the MOOG lower ball joints and had them install the new inner and outer tie rod ends while they were at it. Since then the tires rub the sway bar and lower arm at about half turn in each direction. Prior to this work being done the tires only rubbed on the at full lock on the drivers side and 3/4 passenger side til I removed the washer bottle. This is my wifes jeep and since a little tire rub has never scared her before. Because of that it took me two weeks to find out how bad the rubbing was and now it looks like my two duratracs with 5k miles will need replaced. The sidewall groves are pretty deep. Here are the specs on my Jeep 02' Libby Limited 2.5 Rusty's lift ( I know I know but I bought it before I found this site and if anyone reading this isn't sure... The reports are correct. It sucks) Rusty's 3/8" spacer ARB front bumper Stock Wheels 265/35/R16 Mopar skids I'm guessing wheels spacers would fix the issue but I'm concerned about having a bigger issue since this didn't happen before the new components. If you have made it this far hopefully you have some ideas for me (or you just want to laugh at the noob) |

The tires on those rims and the JBA UCA's with the rusty's front coils and heavy ARB are the cause of the rub. |

After the new parts were put on it rubs at half turn. Should I just put spacers on and get new springs or be concerned the shop or I did something wrong? |

The control arms are to long for the sagging rusty's coils trying to support a ARB bumper.I'd try OME 927 front coils and get rims with 4"-4.5" of back spacing, better then spacers. |

Thanks for all of the help guys. I got delayed for a little while replacing my power steering pump so the Libby has just been sitting in the driveway. I am about to order soft 8's is it better to go with 4.5" just to be safe or could that cause rubbing in other areas. Also with the skids winch and ARB will 927 be enough or should I go heavier and when I replace the coils can a use the Rusty's strut for a while til I have more funds or are they part of the problem along with the spring? |

No point in not replacing the front shocks since you will have to take the whole assembly apart to replace the springs, why not add in better shocks as well and call it a day? And yes they may also be a part of the problem so its best to replace them now so you won't have to deal with them later. |

I ordered some black rock D window style with a 4 in backspace that came in today. Looks like tomorrow I'm ordering the OME springs. 927 is the best set up for what I have? Any suggestions on new shock for a similar heavy setup? |

Tested the tires on the new rims today. Tires rub on the flare now but even if I trimmed that section it would just hit the body before full lock. Can't wait until the new springs and shocks come in. |
