Within the near future (hopefully within the next month or so) I will be placing the order for my lift. These are the two I am looking at. I know their is about a $1000.00 as well as the adjustability difference between the two. Outside of that is there any other difference between the two lifts? Ride quality, overall ride heigh, durability, etc....? JBA Silver all inclusive 2.5 adjust-A-Struts, JBA A-Arms, 2.5 rear springs, 5100 Bilstein rear shocks, x 2 front terraflex bump stops. 2172.95+(CRD) 89.95= 2262.90 OME HD Front 790 Rear 948 springs, both OME front and N132L rear shocks 765.00, JBA A-Arms 395.95, front terraflex bump stops x 2 43.98=1204.93 Am I missing anything needed for either of the lifts? Extended rear daystar bump stops can/should I use? Rear upper/lower coil spring isolator should they be replaced, do I need an extra pair for the raked look upper or lower? Due to my application (CRD) cv angles are a known height limitation could/should I add a top plate on each of the front struts to allow for settling or would that be to much? ( I've read that some have) You're impute is greatly appreciated! Tony |

You're comparing a Chevrolet to a Cadillac , both will provide good lift with the JBA Silver of course being a little better Each have their good points and of course the silver is adjustable as far as height etc. if say you install a steel bumper BUT then if you have the OME you can always add a clevis As far as extra isolator's in the rear it all depends on what you are going to end up with and how you are going to sit it up. Hard to say with out knowing which kit / what you are adding etc Extended rear bumpstops , cheap alternative is two hockey pucks per side, cost 5-7 bucks are work great. |

I think just going OME would do you well! After seeing your pictures at ECS you for sure need some height! IIRC the 2.5 lift was done on here by a CRDer, (linewarbr http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=53361) and it was as high as my OME 790 lift. I'd skid top plates for now, too easy to add if the height isn't good enough. Of course breaking apart the lift and shopping around you can find cheaper, or you can support the LOST vendors through this site. Let us know what you choose! |

See my sig. Can't give you a final opinion yet as I am still working a few things out. I'll report back when I am sure that I can give a definitive opinion. |

I went with the OME HD kit with long travel rear shocks, a-arms and the Terra flex bump stops. I'm pleased with the about of lift I got its not a crazy amount but you can tell it is lifted and it looks real good, at least I think. the ride is good, maybe just a tiny bit stiffer but more sporty feeling than stock for sure. Mine did handle odd until I got it aligned two days later but after that it was like the same old Jeep just better. I have a before and some after pics next to another Liberty in the pics section you can check out to see what you think. |
