04 libby sport v6, no hd tow package. Over heats when driving. The electrical fan is not kicking on when temps go up. It did work with the ac and now that stopped too. Can it just be the fan or a relay something electrical? Could it be the thermostat water pump etc.? I did replace the "engine high temp" relay and that didnt help.

My electric fan motor went bad. Replaced the entire fan and it fixed the problem. I thought the fan was good because when I hooked it directly to a 12v source it worked. It took so e time to figure it out.

Did you just replace your fan? No thermostat and water pump?

If it is not the fan, it could be the relay mounted on the driver side frame rail. (there are pics here somewhere). there was a redisign that added a heat sync to the relay. mine was huge compared tot he one I replaced, and i had to re-route a few things and drill a hole to mount it.
