It seems my belt is randomly squeaking. It sounds like small chirps coming from under the hood when driving. Sometimes they might last 3 seconds sometimes a split second. Totally intermittent. Is my belt to blame? I plan on buying a new belt and putting it on to see if that fixes the problem. Anyone else had this type of issue? Thanks. |

Replace belt and tensioner , both are wear items and more than likely need replaced |

Looking at my AC compressor i notice a slight wobble when looking at it from above, is this normal? the AC works fine. also when it begins to squeek you hear a few clicks and its like it engages something and the noise goes away. not sure what is engaging though or wich part it is. |

no it makes noise even when AC isnt on. But the bearings in there could be shot, even in "neutral" the AC would still have the bearings spinning. I cant diagnose if its alterantor clutch or AC compressor or what, thats alot of money to buy all those pieces. |

Was your jeep doing anything funny? Lights kinda dimming or anything? |

Yeah, It maid nosie when ever the viscous heater or ac was running and my light's would sometimes dim when hitting brake peddle turning radio up etc that's why I replaced the whole unit instead of just the pulley got mine at advance auto. |

Guys mine ended up being the water pump pully going out. THe water pump had not leaked a drop and showed no signs of damage. However, when i tookt he belt off and gave each unit a tug/twist the water pump was extremely loose. Replaced the water pump, noise went away and all is good. |
