I was interested in putting an onboard air compressor under the hood, so I bought one of those Qv-50 (red) air compressors. There doesn't look like there's enough room under the hood to mount it. Should I look for another brand that is smaller or give up on the idea?

smaller compressor. behind the air box, If you don't have cruise control or can relocate it. this is an ARB model that works pretty good for airing up but not as good as my C02 seen below for comparison.

Or C02 as a great option that works much faster for airing up or seating beads, air tools, etc.

I have the same ARB compressor, installed between the battery and the master cylinder.

x2 for behind the air box. I am going to use nut-zerts and mount it on the inner fender well.

I have the small ARB compressor in the same spot. Only use it for the rear locker. I carry my bigger Viair mounted in a tool box that I trade between vehicles at the moment.
Get a CO2 tank unless you dont mind being the last one to air up in your group. Sometimes i get pity from someone with a tank and they will air up my tires because they a tired of waiting on me.
