I've got my suspension and transfer case skids ready to go. What do I need to know when installing them myself? |

Line up holes, incert bolts and tighten! Yeah, it's that hard. |

True for the suspension skid, but the transfer case skid is a 'bit' more involved, nothing serious though. You get what they call 'nutzerts' with the TC skid that you have to put into the frame rail and cross member holes before you can bolt the TC skid in place. You get a little tool that you thread into the nutzert, then you put the nutzert in the hole and crank on the tool. This mushrooms the nutzert out on the otherside of the hole, pinching it in place. You then remove the tool and are able to screw in the bolts. Be careful though, I rounded off one of the holes on the frame rail and currently only have 3 bolts holding on my TC skid because of it. |

Wow, I was wondering what that little thing was. I simply put the little nutzert up into the hole, hand screwed the bolt in and then held up the transfer case and used the torque wrench to tighten it up there. It worked, though. Now I'm scared it's gonna fall out. |

does D/C sell just the "M" bolts? This is more like a tow hook question I know... |

Yeah when I put my tranny skid on I learned the hard way that the "nutzerts" suck. I stripped out one and it fell out. Now I'm afraid mine is going to fall off too. If the OEM nutzerts do come out ever again, I'm going to go ahead and drill the hole all the way through and use bolts with nuts and lock washers like Jeep should have done in the first place. Problem solved. |

That's what you have to do with the All J skid, drill the nutzert out and bolt it in. |
