Alright so my transmission has been having huge problems.
When I accelerate I shoot way up to ~4000 RPM
Trans light is on too. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
i know its not a fluid issue for i have had her flushed ~60k ago.

Thank you!

So your about 2 trans services behind.

Trans light is the over temp, you have overheated your trans.#1 killer of a auto is high heat. It's most likely it's to late to save it since it's slipping and overheating.

Ever rebuild a auto trans? Granted there not hard but can easily be screwed up.

I'm still going to rebuild mine, but at my leisure.

In the meantime, I bought a used trans with 50,000 miles on it and installed it in my Liberty. It works perfectly and I'm very happy with it, especially for the price - and I didn't have to pull it at the junkyard.

Bought mine on eBay, but you can search http://www.car-part.com/ for available transmissions in your area.

I pulled mine, cleaned the cooler and lines thoroughly with cooler flush and installed the 'new' one - all in my back yard. Much cheaper than having it done at a shop, but I had time since I have other running vehicles.
