Is it safe to tow with a powertrax? I know it stays locked alot when pulling out with no load so I know its going to be locked with more torque on it from pulling a boat. With more tongue weight from all the crap I take camping, I dont see how it would allow for the wheels to slip. Also, coming up the hill where I live, if I let off the gas some right before I go into the turn it will unlock, but if i have a boat Ill be giving it alot more gas to get up the hill and Id say it will stay locked. Is there a higher possiblity of breaking an axle with a big load on it? My boat is a small 15ft bass boat but has a 230lb tongue weight. Something cool I found out last night, I pulled the boat out of the building to wash+wax it and my dad and me stood on the tongue of the boat and the jeep only squatted alittle. That was around 590lbs on it!! but the rear does sit up alot higher than the front, so for towing its set up perfect! Our 94 grand squatts alot with just the boat on it, but then again those springs are over 12 years old! And I have the ome HD's on my libby. |

But that doesnt add any extra weight to the axle. That what Im talking about, the extra weight is going to put more pressure on the axles. |

I've towed repeatedly (a flat bed trailer packed with construction supplies) with no problem. |

Do your tires still chirp when going around turns or pulling out while turning? Does it POP out when doing any of these things? |

I've towed our 16' trailer around California and to Moab and back and didn't notice my PowerTrax acting any different than normal. |

The max tounge weight is 700 or 750 lbs., so you shouldn't even notice 230 lbs. from your boat. My pop-up camper is aroud 1,600 lbs. and I don't even know it's back there till I look in the mirror. |
