Hi guys,
New to the forum but have been snooping doing my research for awhile on getting my 2002 KJ Limited lifted and some new tires on her. Forgive me ahead of time - I do medicine, not a car guy (why I'm posting). So looking to get a 2.5'' lift on the ol' Jeep and put some 245/70/16 tires on. Now I do not do much off-roading (starts dodging all the rocks being thrown) as I'm new to the Jeep community, and I'm not necessarily looking to do too much in the future due to location. Thus, the question is - what kind of lift or spacers (not really sure on the difference to be quite frank) should I be looking for? I live in NC and there are a couple of shops in the area, but I wanted to get experience opinions before maybe paying for more than what I might get during purchase and install. So mostly going for the look, not necessarily the off-roading aspect as far as lift-kits or spacers go (i.e. not looking to pay for the most expensive kit, although I do realize you get what you pay for). I do love the frankenlift II and have heard about the rocky road one, but I was hoping to just lift the bad boy and put some bigger tires on without breaking too much of the bank. Not so worried about the most durable off-roading kit.

Appreciate any input guys and gals - sorry for the newbie post! :jester:

Do you want the whole sermon or just a short answer ?
Short answer is for 2.5 - 3 inches either the OME or Ironman lifts are good.
Forget Rocky Road / any type of spacer lift
Frankenlift you're going to be at 4 inches until it gets broke in and will more than likely also need JBA upper control arms
NOW no one cares if you ever go off road or not, you're upgrading the suspension so on the road every day / every mile its going to ride better, handle way better and will be so much different you'll love to drive it everyday. RR crosing that you slow down for now you'll float across after doing a full spring lift.
Now for cost 775 on up plus installation thats for a full spring OME, plus a couple more inexpensive additions.
As far as 4 wheel drive shops go......most know more about wheel barrows than they do lifting a KJ or KK
If you want the straight facts here we are ask away
Check out JeepinByAl lifts from 700 all the way to 4 or 5000
Now for the whole sermon tune in to 102.5 on your FM dial every Sunday morning

OH and Welcome to LOST
