So I am doing my routine inspection and I have no coolant.I found the leak it is literally at the bottom of the radiator in either the in or the out tube. |

I think that the radiators leaking is becoming fairly common reading through posts. I had a coolant leak only in super cold weather that ended up being the thermostat housing. Never fun to track down leaks with all the crap up front and hidden behind plastic and skids plates. |

And if you have no coolant - none in the coolant reservoir - then you need to find the source of the leak. It's either the radiator (common unfortunately) or the engine is 'consuming' coolant, which is not good at all. I'd guess the radiator has a leak along the crimp holding the plastic side tanks to the aluminum core. As for the leaking transmission cooler line, that's frustrating to fix as the connection between the rubber hose and the steel line is a factory connection. There's probably a way to fix it with parts available at NAPA but I don't know what it would be. Someone like tjkj2002 or streetglideok will have to chime in. Bob |

If you can get to the crimped end of the line where it is leaking you can use a dremel to cut just the metal crimped part off. Just cut it length wise to sort of peel it off. Make sure you don't cut into the metal line just slice the crimp back. After you cut the crimped part you can remove the rubber line then. Get some new 3/8" trans cooler line and use hose clamps to secure it. Metal line should be barbed on the end Hope that makes sense, I can see what needs to be done but maybe not fully explaining it. Most any parts store should have the line I think, I got some at NAPA before just make sure its for use with transmissions Maybe one of the others will have a better explanation
