I am thinking of ordering some 3/16th in aluminum skid plates that go from my rocklizard bumper to the engine skid. The sheet is around 250 bucks if some people show me some interest and mine turns out well i may make a few with what is left from the sheet i am cutting mine out of and selling them to lucky buyers on the forums. I haven't got a price yet but should be quite affordable. I know pictures or representations of what it is going to look like is needed for yall to really be interested. soon as i get something drawn up ill post it up!

What's so funny? Its 3/16"'aluminum and it goes from the bumper to the front skid. Looks better now that I painted it black. Lol |

Quote: "Road signs are free" Been running a road sign skid for years...No, I didn't steal them. Back when I was a kid my brother, sister and I used to play in a creek, under a bridge. The state rebuilt the bridge, and the workers chucked two "No dumping allowed" signs into the creek. My brother and I thought it would be hilarious to have one of those signs in the bathroom (and it was, for a while) eventually those signs ended up leaned against my parents garage wall. One became a skid, and the other still sits on my work bench; I use it for welding small parts; the sign gets clamped to the bench, "floating" out past the front edge of the bench, and parts get clamped to it, dissipates heat nicely, and I don't burn my work bench...

I've been thinking of replacing my road sign "skid" with something a little more substantial also. I've been building a rear bumper using various ideas I've got from here, and may have enough steel left to do a skid using the left over... |

Right on wouldn't mind seeing your rear bumper. I am going to be doing a rear bumper when I get of my butt and take off the plastic to mock something up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
