OK, On a scale from 1-10 (10 being forget about it) .... Id like to know how difficult it is to: 1) Remove the heads to be rebuilt by pro mechanic? 2) Remove and rebuild the heads myself? Ive installed my own suspension lift kit, replaced alternator, and can turn a wrench. But never got into the guts of the engine.

For #1............... With the correct tools, factory service manual(torque values and timing marks),more then basic wrench turning skill it's about a 5-6,otherwise can be a 7+ for the unfamiliar. For #2................. With the correct tools(highly specialized tools required and expensive) and years of training, about a 2-3 otherwise a 10. |

Just to be clear 1-10 meaning 10 the most difficult… Ok… for question #1 - what kind of tools…? and will a Hanyes (i think its Haynes) manual do? Thanks in advance. |
