Recently picked up an 06 Liberty CRD from a member here. Love the Jeep. It has practically brand new tires under it. Uniroyal Laredo HD/T's in 235/85r16. I don't mind the tread design at all, but they do have that pizza cutter look. Anyone running a 16x8 wheel under their Liberty? Just don't want to buy new wheels and run into rubbing issues. I'm looking at the soft 8's for wheels. Thanks guys |

Keep the 7" wide rims for those 235's,way to narrow for a 8" rim.If you don't want the pizza cutter look get wider tires, like 255's or 265's and yep still mount on a 7" rim for best results. EDIT#,had a brain fart and said wide instead of narrow. |

Assume you are lifted so if going to Soft 8s then also 4 inches of backspacing or just the stock wheels |

I have a CRD with the stock wheels an now a 2.25" lift. 245 tires. The tires are now rubbing slightly on the front sway bar at full lock. According to everyone and everywhere, 245s should be OK with no rubbing, but this is not the case with mine. Just an FYI. Looking into BS measurements and other wheels. |

With stock wheels most all rub some with 245-75-16s also depends on type of tread etc |

Tom, These are 245/70-16. Do you happen to know the BS on the CRD wheels? It was suggested that I may want to use a spacer or look into the Rubicon Moab wheels, which I have been eyeballing for a while now. |

OEM 16x7 rims for any KJ is 5.5" of back spacing. |

Thanks, T. So a Rubicon Moab wheel with 5.0" of BS will move the tire outboard 0.5 inches and will get the tire off the sway bar? (In your experience?) |

You say you have no rubbing and an OME lift. Do you also have any clevis or top plates up front or extra iso's in the rear? Also did you go with 15x7 or 15x8 and what backspace. I have a set of near new Grabber A/T 2 that I would love to re-purpose on the KJ. Thanks |
