Does anyone have any recent experience with rro rockfather lifts as in the deluxe setup? Pros cons etc...tured of reading all the negative stuff due to reasons I believe but wont comment on. I personally have spoke with rro and they seemed extremely helpful with my ? S and they customer service was extremely decent.thanks. |

If you have some legitimate reasons why most of the suggestions are for lifts from JeepinByAl and AllJs are wrong please let us know. Please share. Experience over the last 10-12 years with customer service, selling the right parts, also coming up with new and innovative products for the KJ is why most go to one of the above or both in some cases. |

Seems to me everyone bad mouths RRO to promote their own product. No offense. Personally I dont give a darn who says what about what. But I hear nothing on these forums thats positive about the latter only positive things about the two youve mentioned tommudd. Again no offense. And every review I see online is from at least 4 years ago! Nothing recent. Honestly it makes me wonder if the products are so good then why the bash the other person all over the forums and the internet. Yes maybe you have 10 or 12 years in the kj products but in my experience people who bad mouth other people or put them down because of a few mistakes in the past must have something to hide. If this makes people pissy I really dont care. Its my opinion. And we all know what they are like...everyone has one. Again no offense to anyone in particular. I only asked for some legitimate feedback from anyone who has recently tried their products not from 4 to 6 years ago when obviously they had some issues! |

Honestly all the crap I read all over these forums and the internet almost makes me not wanna lift my KJ at all. And just keep it factory. |

I think if you read, and take out subjective material like customer service experience(I say subjective, because it is a YMMV), and look at the product sold, that will speak for itself. You will see that the RRO lifts don't hold up as well. The non-OME springs don't hold up as well, and sag sooner. Guys stand behind companies like JBA because they take care of their customers. Marlin took care of me when some parts were out of stock at JBA. In the case of JBA, I don't think Marlin has anything on his site for sale that is known as junk. Other companies may offer cheaper product, but at the cost of quality. This is a free market economy, you can buy from whoever you like, and whatever you like. Some guys on here try to look out for others, and steer you away from what may cost you more in the long run. If you want the rockfather lift, go for it. It beats the snot out of a daystar spacer lift any day. If you like it, and are happy with it, by all means, post about it. More choices are a win-win for us all. |

Their rear springs do not hold up as well as OME or JBAs, weaker They provide their own rear shocks which are cheap much like the rear shocks Rustys provide. So if you buy from them I would upgrade Their arms are known not to fit properly and have issues. What you get is good front springs and shocks, thats about it. But try them out You can also type in RRO problem/issues and see how other folks who own different types besides Jeeps like them or any issues |

How many folks buy "Brand A" and then wish they had bought "Brand B"? Which brand gets labeled "Brand A" more often when they express their regrets? PS: I'm still waiting on the dough to lift my Jeep and have never tried either. I know what I will buy and the rationale for my decision is based on the logic above.

I've got a buddy who got a lift kit from RRO, he said the customer service was good and he liked the kit he got was the regular rockfather with the rear spacer. It performed pretty good offroad and all so there's a positive review. |

If this is run like this, you'll actually get less lift. The springs don't have enough pre compression on them. I know this from first hand experience trying to combine ome springs with a daystar top plate. Old Man Emu or Heavy Duty GR2 front strut shocks. Custom full height rear springs. Full height! More information on these INSANE ARMS optional bumpstop extensions. those bumpstop extensions are a bad design imo. Just get the teraflex extended bumpstops for the front. I know someone who ordered this kit and had nothing but problems. He ended up just selling everything for next to nothing amd buying a jba kit. |

I decided to go with the rockfather deluxe. If I get bashed for deciding on that kit so be it. I will do install and post pics and my pros n cons whatever they may be. Ive also decide on 16x7 wheels with a 4 inch backspace and some 245 75 16 tires. I will let u guys know how it goes. Like tommudd says having other options just gets the liberty more notarity. I went to a 4x4 shop today to ask about wheels and he told me fixin up a liberty was like polishing a turd so I decided against his wheels and bought from summit racing. |

Sadly that is the opinion of 99% of the 4X4 shops out there. It is far easier to sell TJ / JK parts and install them than looking out of the box of what can be done with a KJ or KK. Our local 4X4 shop is fairly big, having 8 bays, 3 full time salesmen, 6 or 8 techs and all you see is 10 inch lifted Dodge and Ford diesels and JKs . But its funny when I stopped in afew months ago, I come out and there are 6 techs under and around mine asking a ton of questions. Had to laugh when they said " Don't know who does your work but they do a great job" They about fell over when I told them it was all done by me
