I keep shredding CV boots on the drivers side. I am sitting at just over 23", I have OME springs, top plate and 3 rings on the clevis.

I have a friend who has a CNC machine and can basically make some flat washers out of 5/8" steel and I was going to use them to do a small K frame drop. They would be 2" in diameter and plenty strong enough. I would obviously buy longer bolts for the Diff, T-case and crossmember.

Any advice/issues with doing this? I have to do something since I keep destroying the CV boot. I really don't want to lower the Jeep any and I have read that I am at the same height as most everyone on here, except of course Reverend Mudd who is sitting at over 4"...

Which boot keeps shredding - the inner boot or outer? What brand of CV's are you running? If there's that much stress on the CV's I'd think the joint itself would go bad - but just the boot is a bit strange.

I'm sitting at 22.5" and haven't shredded any but then I'm 1/2" lower than you. I had the clamp come loose on the passenger side once and it threw grease everywhere but NAPA replaced it under warranty.
