I have a once per revolution kind of a rubbing noise. It also has a slight bounce at low speed. Just had wheels and tires changed and it did it before and after so its not a bent wheel or wheel balance. Thinking possibly a wheel bearing or CV?

Both of those are possible bad CV symptoms, and the dead giveaway is if you hear clicking or popping when turning as well. If I remember correctly my bad CV joint started off as more of a once per revolution quiet groan that I couldn't track down until it go bad enough that I could definitely hear it while turning.

A bad unit bearing usually sounds more like marbles rolling around in a coffee can.

If you can tell which side it's coming from it's worth it to jack that front tire up and check the CV and tire for movement. Grab the axle shaft between the two CV joints and see there's play in either of them. Then, grab the tire at 12/6 and 3/9 and see if you can wiggle it without the steering wheel moving.

Give the axle shaft a good tugging and see if there's loose play at the joints. They should move some, but it shouldn't be easy or clunk. While you're there check for any cracks in the boots. They can be going bad for ages because of a crack in the boot and never have excessive play in them... until one day they do.

replaced both CVs and a passenger side hub assembly. Its smooth as butter now going straight or turning right, but when i turn left i still have an odd sorta almost a tire rub sound but its more metallic sounding its a groaning grinding noise. only when turning left. and i do not see any signs of a tire rub.
