Okay so I had my Frankenlift II Deluxe installed last Saturday. However, with all said and done I got a 4" above factory stock lift. I did not add any clevis or other spacers just what came with the kit. I'm coming here as I understand this is the place where Franky was born so to speak. The thing is I was told by to different people at All J that the lift would only give me a 2.5 above and as a result JBA UCA's are completely unnecessary. I was just told this again by All J about 20 minutes ago over the phone and was told if my vehicles is currently lifted 4" above factory stock it has to be installed incorrectly.

However, this morning over at jeepkj.com I've been told by tommudd and others that 4 inches after install and 3.5" after settled in is normal. I trust tommudd as I've read here and over at jeepkj.com that he is the authority on everything Jeep Liberty.

So has anyone actually gotten a 2.5" lift from a Frankenlift II Deluxe? Does the fact that my Liberty is now 4" above factory mean my lift must have been installed incorrectly?

What say ye?

What are your measurements?(center of wheel to flare)

You maybe way les then 4" over "factory" spec since your '04 could have sagged as much as 1" or more in the last 10 years. You will never get "only" 2.5" of lift from a Frankinlift is using the 927 coils unless you put it on a CRD or run it for 100k+ miles.

That sounds right. I got a franken I'm a little over 23 but added 2 washers on the clevis. I suggest jba arms with your lift unless you go with a ome lift that would put you down at 21-22 in the front.

I've been running a Frankenlift for a couple of years now, with an ARB, and a Superwinch 9500...I'm still just a little over 23" in front... As I understand it, a Frankenlift is 2.5" over BRAND NEW 2002 height....In 2002 Car and Driver magazine (?) rolled a brand new KJ, because they were trying to drive it like a sports car through a slalom course....Diamler/Chrysler/Jeep's answer to that "problem" was to lower all subsequent KJ's by 3/4 of an inch... Your 2004, as it rolled off the assembly line, was 3/4" lower than a 2002 and your KJ's front suspension had ten years worth of sag. Your KJ now sits 2.5" higher than a BRAND NEW 2002 would have.... I had to have JBA's upper arms to get my KJ to align correctly...and I'm glad I did; they are a vast improvement over the factory upper arms, with the cast in upper ball joint. When I removed my factory upper arms I found a large tear in one of the the boots that I couldn't see without removing it...Replacing a ball joint, or boot on a JBA arm beats the heck out of having to replace an entire factory upper A arm...

Early models were about 19.75, so with the reasoning that a Franky gives you 2.5 inches over those then that would mean you would be at 22.25 not 23
