Crap, just found out my brake lights aren't working

The third brake light is working, but not the tail lights. I thought it would throw a code or something.

This could be a blown fuse or it could be as simple as two burnt out bulbs. It can happen, especially if they are the same age because they are factory originals.

You were right, two blown bulbs. The sockets look a little burnt too, but ire beer heat is a problem with these cars. I think I got freaked out because I was thinking it was like my former Mercedes that did a bulb check and would tell me if a light was out. I just had it inspected in November.
