I am looking into making a steel front diff. and am wondering if anyone knows if it is hp or lp. It looks to be low pinion but would like if someone could confirm that before i get one at a junkyard.

It's a non issue. Even dropping the front crossmember for additional lift, a liberty does not see any movement upwards or downwards when flexing or driving.

If you were going SFA, it would be simple to state you want hp.

If you are wondering about which gears to get, don't. they can come with your choice of gears iirc.

????? I am wanting to get a junkyard axle and convert it to ifs to have a steel diff. So I need the one that will line up and fit the same as the Oem one and like the JBA steel diff. Not to sfa. I have decided sfa is too high for my taste. And my brother rolled his fj cruiser after I almost rolled my kj. Scary stuff.
