Is there an easy way to disable the airbags for offroad use? Don't want to go bonk off a rock or ledge and have the airbags deploy.

I believe the air bags are shut off automagically when you switch to 4-LO.

Your kidding me. I know it re-tunes the engine and turns off esp on the 2006 libbys, but its also turn the air bags off!!

It turns off the ABS as well. It's a smart jeep!

I've never heard that about the airbags being disabled when in 4LO. I actually doubt it.

Listen, I recently saw a woman have her airbag deployed when on the trail, and THANK GOODNESS for her it did.

The airbag won't go off unless you need it, off road or on. In this case, the driver went too fast and instead of going up the rocky climb, it just hit it with the front axle and stopped dead. She slammed in to airbag. Had it not deployed, she would have slammed in to the steering wheel or windshield.

Don't disable the bag.

(Plus, if you mess with it and for some reason it doesn't go off on-road in an accident, you could really be in trouble.)
