Hey guys quick q... Can't I technically try to start the recovered jeep minus the power steering pump... Using the shorter ac bypass belt that I have? It fits pretty snug and is routed "correctly"... I know it's probably not an option until I replace the brake master cylinder... Just because there's a gaping hole on the front of the vacuum booster... But I'm curious to know if I replace the bmc... Then I should technically be able to turn her over... Even with the ac lines cut and rad fan missing... Am I far off base here?

Block off the vacuum line to the brake booster, don't install any belt, and fire away.Just don't run for more then 5 mins since you will not have any spinning of the water pump or alternator. |

TJ I'm gonna take a pic in the morning of the belt routing that I was talking about... Seems like it should work... And I'd feel safer knowing the water pump was in the mix |

So here's the routing I was talking about... It's a little sloppy... But i did it on my phone really fast...

Also the driver side crank case breather is busted off... Will that affect idle? |

The tube running to the air box? Nope. You can run it without the belt. My first car had the alt and waterpump running. Nothing else. Block of the booster vacuum line and start that girl. Sent with the power of children's screams!!! |
